Episode summary
An elderly woman is found in an advanced state of decomposition, trapped in her closet. Grissom and Warrick start investigating the case. Nick and Sara are called out to investigate a break and enter, but the homeowner insists that his teen daughter's party just got a bit out of hand. However, the teen girl sneaks out and gets into the backseat of Sara's SUV and asks to be taken to the hospital. It is found that the girl has been raped. Nick and Sara go back to her house to look for evidence, where Nick finds similarities to Grissom and Warrick's case. The four believe that the same person is probably responsible for both crimes and work both cases together.
Meanwhile, Catherine is called out to a suburban home, as a little boy has found a gun in the garden. Catherine finds out that the gun was used in the shooting of a bounty hunter, which happened a week ago, where the gun used wasn't found. Warrick had been investigating this case. Catherine works on the case to find out who shot the bounty hunter.
