What is a fanlisting?
A fanlisting is a place for all fans of a particular show, movie, actor/actress, singer, etc. to come together and build the biggest listing of people from all around the world who are fans of that subject.
Why a fanlisting for The Plough/The Big Dipper?
Basically, because I love this constellation! I don't really know why it is my favourite constellation, but it always has been. I can always pick this one out in the night sky, and for me, this one stands out more than all of the others. Also, I can see this constellation most of the year, which is nice.
About the constellation
The Big Dipper, or The Plough, is a part of a larger constellation called Ursa Major (Great Bear). The Big Dipper consists of seven stars, three making up the handle and four making up the bowl. Two stars in the bowl form the "pointers", which leads you to the Pole Star (Polaris), which is a star within a smaller, mirrored version of the Big Dipper called the Little Dipper, or Ursa Minor (Little Bear). Polaris, the Pole Star, indicates the North Pole. See the diagram I drew below for an illustrated explanation:
