Why a fanlisting for "Rain Man"?

I think this film is truly inspiring. I think it's hard to sum it up in just a few sentences, so I will just say that if you haven't seen it, you really should. It is touching, educational and has its funny moments too. The storyline is a gem and the acting is unbeatable.

The plot

Hoffman plays Raymond, an autistic savant whose late father has left him $3 million in a trust. This gets the attention of his materialistic younger brother, a hot-shot LA car dealer named Charlie (Tom Cruise) who wasn't even aware of Raymond's existence until he read his estranged father's will.
